Otto Dix...

...did the most amazing series of etches from his time as a war artist in WWI. Musee Maillol in Paris showed a collected entitled "Allemagne, les annees noires" in winter 2007/08 with Otto Dix, Max Beckmann and George Grosz.

Can't deny it...love this song

All in all, I just love a good boogie :)

While I'm thinking of it

I'm feeling mighty guilty about doing lots of cool shit without writing any of it down. Was just day dreaming about Saturday night's festivities, including a phenomenal meal at Ripples Chowder Bay (Sydney) when I remembered another great meal I had at Terrassa in St Petersburg late last year. The only part of the Terrassa experience that felt Russian was the hectic abundance of staff. The menu itself is literally like a catalogue of international cuisine. The open plan dining allows a view of Kazansky Cathedral on one side, and watching all the chefs etc. cook work behind a glass wall on the other! Grab some hookah if you're feeling it - they even have one guy whose only job is to set it up for you!

Not only did I neglect poor, lonely little bloggy for a solid 6mths, I've just found a gadget that'll do all the work for me...the youtube gadget is meant to come up with top favourites, so really I don't have to search for anything new to post. On the downside, it might load some truly shite clips I'd never have wasted time watching. We'll see.
